Miss Dawson First Post - Noma Bar

Hello, very exciting my first post on the Slough Grammar Art room blog! The idea behind A33 and a third is to provide a forum to share creative endeavours we find interesting and inspiring up here in rooms A33 and A34. Pupils often want to share work they create in and outside of school and we see this site an an gallery space for just that.

I went to an artist talk yesterday the guest illustrators were really interesting. Noma Bar creates these very sharp images concentrating on negative space ( the  space around the main subject ). There is a significance between the icons/objects that are used to define the features and the subject. What would you use if you were to create your own Bar inspired self portrait?

If you decide to have a go at producing your own versions do bring them to the art department or send us a picture!
